Top 10 Tropical Vacay Essentials

Hi Beauties!

The perfect time for me to create a fun list of essentials is when I go on vacation. I’ve got to pack anyway, so why not share that list with the world and hopefully it’ll help some of you when trying to pack your cosmetics!

1. A light peachy blush: A beautiful shade on most skin tones, I feel like a light peachy blush with a little bit of shimmer is perfect for a sun kissed looked on your “pre-vacation skin to your toasty tan skin on your way home!

2. Sunscreen of course! A soft and sheer sunscreen that can go under my makeup, I picked Vichy Ideal Soleil SPF 60 for face and body. I used this specifically for my face and a little go a long way! I chose Banana Boat Sport Performance Cool Zone SPF 50. The refreshing mist cools me down while protecting me!

3. A Hydrating Mist: I chose Pixi Glow Mist. It’s infused with Propolis and Argan Oil, so it’s super hydrating. It’s multi-purpose and comes in a small bottle,  which is perfect for travel! It sets and refreshes my makeup, leaving a dewy finish and I can even use it on my hair to give it a healthy glow!

4. After Sun Care!: Unfortunately, I learned the hard way lol by accidentally wearing NOT waterproof sunscreeen. After slathering on SPF 60 and then splashing in the waves, I came home to our Airbnb with a horrible bright red sun burn that took me through the rest of our vacation.

  • Aloe Vera soothing Gel
  • A Soothing (numbing) gel – Ocean Potion Ice+ Skin Repair Soothing Gel
  • Beauty 360 Daily Moisturizing Lotion with natural colloidal oatmeal

CVS was my one stop shop for a lower priced store brand!

5. Lip Protection: I chose Eminence Organics Rosehip and Lemongrass Lip Balm with spf 15. It’s organic and infused with Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids and an spf! I love the silky smooth application.

6. A Body Shimmer!: I chose Wet ‘n Wild Only to Reflect Shimmer Palette in I’ll have a Cosmo! I actually picked this up while I was in Hawaii. They come in a fun little variety of shades, they’re quite large compared to their other highlighters and the pigment is fantastic. They’re really great to use for a nice body shimmer on your chest and shoulders! Use a wet brush for even more shimmer!

7. A long wear nude lippie!: This was one of my motd from my vacation. Something very light and dewy. The nude lippie I chose was Too Faced Melted Matte in Child Star. These are my absolute fave and I have so many shades! They’ve got the smoothest application, they are so long lasting and they don’t dry out too quickly!

8. Bronzer: I chose Physician’s Formula Butter Bronze in Deep Bronze. This is one of my favourite bronzers, I love the application and it looks and smells like Summer!

9. Tinted Moisturizer of course! I chose Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream in Ginger. While giving me just a hint of radiant coverage, I’ve got sun protection and extra hydration.

10. Nothing but good vibes!: My last essential isn’t a product. It’s just good vibes, because that’s really all you need to enjoy a Tropical Vacay, right?! (maybe a good book too) 😉

I hope you all enjoyed my Top 10 Vacay Essentials post series. I had so much fun compiling it and taking these photos.

Until the next one Beauties!
